About our mission, Dr Charles Parker

Our CBJ hosting objective is critical: upgrade mind and brain data through informed dialogue with neuroscience experts to build more predictable, more comprehensive, more understandable solutions for you and your family. Today's technology drives significantly improved mind-prognosis - beyond traditional psychiatric measures. Inaccurate labels, speculation, and guesswork are out - critical thinking, data, and measurement are in. Let's work together to connect advanced biomedical wisdom with everyday street reality. Start today. Advance informed care. Stay consistent. Measure for accuracy. Subscribe here. Pass it on.

This work is so critically important, but as a resource coordinator in the disability world trying to connect parents with helpful information I struggle with this work because it’s not “ready” for real-world application in the mainstream. Most of the parents I help have limited resources and are stuck with state insurance and basic services. I’m working with one family whose young son is autistic and behaviorally DANGEROUS. They have a whole team of behavior specialists and NO ONE looking into what’s happening in this child’s brain. A prescriber is available for 2x/year, and mental health meds may be making things worse. It breaks my heart that this work about nutrition isn’t available to help these struggling families. Please help make it available to more people! Thank you.

Thanks, Jerri, I completely share your concerns on many levels, and after working with seriously disturbed children for decades I can tell you from the street level that these tests outlined in this CBJ Episode with my good friend Dr. Walsh do dramatically change the Rules of the Diagnosis and Treatment Objectives. With ASD kids and adults those transporter proteins that control molecular physiology can make or break any treatment intervention from meds to misinformed supplements. I treated a delightful dentist out in Beverly Hills quite recently who, based upon genetic testing, was told she was undermethylated due to that MTHFR polymorphism – took methylation products [ http://corebrainjournal.com/115 ], and went completely around the bend as she actually was overmethylated in spite of those [limited] genetic findings. The tests we run: http://corepsych.com/tests cover a more comprehensive view with more predictable outcomes. Once the insurance companies catch up as I strongly emphasize here: http://corebrainjournal.com/mission – they will actually save thousands. But they need more basic instructions for providers to know the next steps. Thanks! cp

Hi Dr Parker from Scotland, UK. Discovered your fantastic website and podcasts just last week after when trying to search for help for newly emerging severe anxiety and the depression that started to emerge trying to cope with it. Ive only been ill for 6-8 weeks and seem to be benefiting from Benzodiazipiines but 10 days in to an SSRI I had my first ever full blown panic attack and increased suicidal ideations. For some reason mornings are horrendous. I finally seen a Psychiatrist who recommended a different SSRI and when I tried to explain my reluctance as I wished to get Walsh testing in London first as I felt this would help me make a more informed choice whether Id just had bad luck with one particular SSRI or I would turn out to be a biotype that are overmethylated you would have thought I stated that I wanted a witch doctor to cure me. This is cutting edge science why isnt the world receptive to it especially with the autism epidemic? I mean bottom line what do we have to lose by correcting any nutritional deficiency…..If depression/anxiety was as simple as a Serotonin deficiency why dont all those treated get better would be my point. Anyway sorry a bit lengthy and personal as posts go but your website inspires me

Thanks so much Siobhan – much of what you say underlines the reason for our work here at CBJ. You have some symptoms that sound like you might benefit from these videos over at YouTube:
      1. Start with this one: http://corepsych.com/balance
      2. Then back up for this playlist & note especially the vid on cognitive anxiety: http://corepsych.com/diagnosis
      3. Then consider http://corepsych.com/drop
      4. Going deep http://corepsych.com/gi for contributory issues.

I provide consults and Walsh reviews globally, with active consults in the UK, so you can review options here: http://corepsych.com/tests – with links to explanatory videos. You’ll see that Walsh protocols are right at the top of the list after IgG issues [that often contribute to biomedical disaray].

      If interested: http://corepsych.com/appointments

All the Best, and again, thanks for connecting out here with your kind remarks.

Charles, research reveals that autism has an autoimmune element, not mentioned – see https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/m/pubmed/23994594/

Thanks, Johnny, this is exactly what we see in everyday practice. I appreciate your sending this reference.

Thank you for this podcast on methylation and autism! I’ve been asking medical doctors and psychiatrists for at least 5 years about methylation, and no one in Canada seems to have heard of its impact on autism and mental illness. Figuring out (through Dr Walsh’s list of symptoms) that my aggressive son was an overmethylator meant that I had remove all methyl donors from his supplementation, and that helped diminish hyperactivity. Padovan neurofunctional reorg and qi gong helped remove a lot of the aggression as well. I haven’t been able to get to a Walsh-certified physician yet, but I hope to one day to complete the biochemical picture. Also I hope to see Dr Walsh’s valuable and unique contributions to autism and mental illness be much more widely known.
